On Programming
The common thing in words, numbers and the symbols in code syntax or math, is that they possess no inherent value as standalone entities and hence have no copyright as the unit of the labor spent in their creation, until they re parsed, in a context with some meaningful rules, by means of some grammar, on some material tools and serve as a utility.
Else, any arbitrary or planned collection of these, is just data, which need not possess any inherent meaning and yet can be an input to a valuable function, eg a number lock or a pass- -word
Which brought me to Curry Howard Correspondence and the right to data privacy (in that order) and has held me there; since a while!

On the Nation State
Over the years it became increasingly clear to me that the purpose of the constitution of a somewhat independent state of any political stability is to maintain a demographic order and dividend, by any means and the romanticism about it as means to social or individual justice is impractical and unproductive.
Therefore, state has no reasonable say, in dictating how an individual chooses to live or not. It may however restrict or contain that, iff it’s a proven danger to the purpose above
